We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first Kettlebells For A Cause on Sat. July 27th 2013 from 9-11 am at Iron Republic in Sand City. They charity we will be supporting is Ag Against Hunger located in Salinas.
Ag Against Hunger began in 1990 with the purpose of collecting unused, but still perfectly edible, produce and delivering it to families in need. According to their website, “Since 1990, the generous donations of surplus produce from our local growers and shippers have helped Ag Against Hunger bring 200 million pounds of produce to tens of millions of hungry children, adults and seniors.” For every dollar donated to Ag Against Hunger, 25 lbs of produce is distributed to those in need.
If you reside in the Monterey County area and you’re looking for a fun charity workout to raise money for an amazing cause, then make sure to come down to Iron Republic on Sat. July 27th from 9-11 am! The minimum donation is $10 per person, with 100% of the proceeds going straight to Ag Against Hunger. We will also be selling raffle tickets the day of the workout for a chance to win some great prizes.
Due to the nature of the workout, only ages 16 and up will be able to participate.
Make sure to stay tuned to our blog and Facebook page for more updates as the big day gets closer!
